Over 500,000 Hot BBQ Meals Served in Florida

We have been in full swing for 13 days in Florida and after 12 days we surpassed a half million meals served in Florida. Through day 13 we have served 535,470 hot meals with the help of over 160 organizations taking food out to shelters, neighborhoods, fire stations and police stations across the panhandle of Florida and into Southern Georgia.

We anticipate serving approximately another 100,000 meals before we leave Florida. That could make 2018 a one million meal year. As we are 111,000 meals away from hitting a million meals for 2018. In less than 45 days our teams have done Hurricane Florence and Michael and to date those two storms total 859,395 meals.

Today we will serve our last meals from our Tallahassee location and transition equipment and supplies needed to the Panama City location. Our command center will come here while other supplies go back to our warehouse that are not needed. We will see what the volume does after this weekend here in Panama City but we anticipate at this time to serve our last meals here November 4th.
